CombineZM Help
Load a Stack
There are four ways to start loading a stack into CombineZM they are all at
the top of the File menu. You should be aware that all frames in a
Stack should be the same size, even Import Frame mentioned below modifies it's
subject to the current stack dimentions.
- New Use this when your pictures are stored as individual files,
acceptable formats are .bmp, .jpg, .tif, .gif and .png. You can
load several files at once using the standard Windows methods, e.g. drag a
box round some, clicking while holding Control or Shift down, or clicking on
one then doing 'Control+A' to select all. The file selection
dialog is resizeable, and it's View menu will allow you to see
thumbnails. On loading files CZM will sort them into
alphanumeric order.
- Resume Work If you have been working on a stack before and used
'Save Work' on the Undo menu, or used the '-w' option from the command line
work files will have been saved, 'Resume Work' allows you to reload these
files, this includes the Stack Picture and Out.
- Extract Frames This function builds a Stack from the individual
frames in a Windows Movie File, .wmv. You can use a .wmv file as
an efficient storage medium for a stack which will be viewable as a movie or
reloadable using this function. CZM has an upper limit of 255
frames for the Do Stack macro, and upto 10000 frames for some other
purposes, though some functions may not work properly with large numbers of
frames due to arithmetic overflows etc.
- Getting a Stack from an attached Camera This will be discussed
elsewhere.
In addition to the above 'Load Frames' and 'Import Frame' will load
additional frames and place them at the top of the stack. Load
Frames works in the same way as New but will not remove existing Frames.
Import Frame only loads one item but the size restriction mentioned above is
relaxed, the frame is either loaded at the upper left corner of an empty frame
or if it is too big the right and or bottom are cropped to make it fit a
frame. This function is useful for adding text etc. to your work.
